Control Systems Engineering, Inc. (CSE) warrants the in-motion scales and conveyors it manufactures to be free from faults in design, materials and workmanship for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of startup of each system, or eighteen (18) months from the date of shipment from CSE’s manufacturing operation, whichever comes first.
Control Systems Engineering, Inc. will at its option repair or replace any scale or component found to be faulty during the warranty period. For system adjustments or repairs that can be made by replacement of components Control Systems Engineering, Inc. will provide replacement parts only (no labor) during the warranty period on a bill and credit exchange basis via prepaid surface transportation. For more complex repairs Control Systems Engineering, Inc. may at CSE’s option provide on site warranty service, if needed.
This Limited Warranty does not cover components or systems damaged by misuse or abuse, or by installation, operation and maintenance not performed in accordance with written instructions provided by Control Systems Engineering, Inc.
Items returned under warranty claims which turn out not to be defective will be subject to an evaluation charge not to exceed $50 per item. Items returned under warranty claims which turn out to have been damaged due to abuse or from improper installation, operation or maintenance will be subject to an evaluation charge plus the non-warranty cost of the part.
Spare parts provided in spare parts kits are warranted in accordance with the same terms and conditions as the in-motion scales.
Control Systems Engineering, Inc.’s responsibilities under this Limited Warranty are solely for the repair or replacement of in-motion scale systems, conveyors or components found faulty in design, materials or manufacture, and do not include incidental or consequential charges or damages. This Limited Warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, either expressed or implied.
